Club Sandwich

The Structure: It is traditionally a double-decker sandwich, meaning it uses three slices of toasted bread to create two distinct layers of fillings.

The Bread: Usually white or whole-wheat bread, toasted until golden brown to provide enough structural integrity to hold the heavy fillings.

Classic Layers:

• Proteins: Slices of roasted turkey breast or chicken, paired with crispy strips of bacon.

• Fresh Produce: Crisp iceberg lettuce and juicy slices of tomato.

• The Spread: A generous coating of mayonnaise on each slice of bread to add moisture and richness.

The Presentation: The sandwich is almost always cut into four triangles (quarters). To keep the layers from sliding, each quarter is secured with a decorative toothpick (often with a frilled plastic top).
